Terms of Service

Welcome to OurNanny. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Artemis Nova LLC (“OurNanny,” “we,” “us”), the company behind the OurNanny app. By creating an account or using OurNanny, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

OurNanny is currently in early access (beta). Features may change and you may run into bugs — we provide the app “as is” while we build.

1. What OurNanny is

OurNanny is a coordination tool for nanny shares. It helps families who share a nanny organize schedules, see whose home is hosting, and automatically estimate each family’s share of the cost. OurNanny is software that helps you organize an arrangement you and the other members set up yourselves.

2. What OurNanny is not

We are not an employer of any nanny, and we do not set wages, hours, or terms of employment.
We are not a party to the relationship between you, your nanny, or other families.
We are not a payment processor. Cost figures in the app are estimates for your convenience; actual money moves directly between you and others (for example, through Venmo).
We do not screen, vet, endorse, or run background checks on nannies or families.

You are solely responsible for your own hiring decisions, employment and tax obligations, insurance, background checks, and compliance with applicable laws.

3. Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You sign in with your phone number (or email). Keep your account secure — you’re responsible for activity under it. Information you add (about yourself, your children, your household, and your schedule) must be accurate, and you must have the right to share any information you enter about other people.

4. Acceptable use

Use OurNanny lawfully and respectfully. Don’t misuse the app, attempt to access or break it in unauthorized ways, upload others’ personal information without permission, or use it to harass other members of your pod.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the information you provide. You grant us a limited license to store and process that information solely to operate and provide OurNanny to you and your pod.

6. Disclaimers

OurNanny is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that cost estimates are exact. Decisions about childcare, safety, and payments are yours.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Artemis Nova LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for disputes between you and your nanny or other families. Our total liability for any claim relating to OurNanny will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or US $100.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Artemis Nova LLC from claims arising out of your use of OurNanny, your arrangements with your nanny or other families, or your violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using OurNanny at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or other users.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
