This Privacy Policy explains how Artemis Nova LLC (“OurNanny,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the OurNanny app. By using OurNanny, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your name, phone number (used to sign in and to invite you to a pod), email address (if you choose email), and any profile photo you add.
• Pod & household information: the family, your children’s first names and ages, host/home location details, and the schedules you enter to coordinate your nanny share.
• Payment coordination: a payment handle such as your Venmo username and your payment preferences. We do not process payments and do not collect or store card or bank account numbers.
• Basic usage & device data: limited technical information needed to run the app reliably (for example, log and diagnostic data).

2. How we use information

• provide and operate OurNanny — coordinate schedules, show who’s hosting, and estimate each family’s cost share;
• authenticate you and keep your account secure;
• send notifications related to your pod (you can manage push notifications in your device settings);
• provide support and improve the app.

3. Children’s information

OurNanny is designed for parents, guardians, and caregivers — all of whom are adults. Information about children (such as a first name and age) is provided by the adult account holder to coordinate care. OurNanny is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

4. How information is shared

• With your pod: OurNanny is a shared tool. Other members of your nanny share can see the information needed to coordinate — for example, schedules, the children participating in shared care, and the host location for a given day.
• With service providers: we use trusted providers that process information on our behalf: Clerk (account sign-in and authentication), Convex (secure database and backend), and Expo (app delivery and push notifications).
• For legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect rights and safety.
• We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated information at any time (see Contact).

6. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No app or system is perfectly secure, and OurNanny is in early access — please use good judgment about the information you share.

7. Your choices

You can review and update your information in the app, manage notifications in your device settings, and contact us to request access to or deletion of your information.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as OurNanny evolves. We’ll update the “last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
